Miller Beach Vacation Rentals newest offering, Dunehaven, is a modern beach bungalow loaded with amenities and perfect for a relaxing getaway to chill, entertain, or explore the beaches, dunes, and hiking trails of Lake Michigan and surrounding areas! 

Featuring modern farmhouse-inspired interiors, this well-appointed, family-friendly, Smart Home is located at the end of a quiet, residential, cul-de-sac street, and is only one house from the park access trail across the street.  This sandy trail winds through a sliver of the Indiana Dunes National Park (America’s 61st!) and leads to a sugar-sand beach where one can view the Chicago Skyline and breathtaking sunsets.

Beach Bungalow

Dunehaven is located at the end of a quiet, residential, cul-de-sac street, and is only one house from the park access trail across the street.  This sandy trail winds through a sliver of the Indiana Dunes National Park (America’s 61st!) and leads to a sugar-sand beach where one can view the Chicago Skyline and breathtaking sunsets. The walk to the beach is approximately 1/6 of a mile and takes the average person about ten to 12 minutes along a mostly sand, partially paved path that winds past Historic Chanute Hill, the location of the first manned glider flight in 1896 by Octave Chanute.

LIVING ROOM

Adjacent to the kitchen is an inviting living and dining area with a 55” Smart TV, cozy sleeper sofa with king size bed, lounge seating, table lamps with USB charging ports, ceiling fan, and a farmhouse style dining table that seats eight. There are partial, seasonal (late Fall, Winter, early Spring) views of Lake Michigan from the dining area windows.

THREE BEDROOMS

On the main floor are three private bedrooms: king, queen, and bunk room with twin XL over queen bed, a full bathroom and a half bath.  All bedrooms are equipped with wall-mounted smart TVs, night stands with sleep machines, ceiling/wall fans, and closets with hangers.

KITCHEN

The sunlight-filled, open-plan kitchen at Dunehaven is equipped with everything you need to prepare a feast for your family and friends.  There is a gas oven with four sealed burners, dishwasher, fridge/freezer with filtered water and auto ice-maker, toaster oven, blender, island seating for four and a 60/40 double bowl sink with pullout faucet sprayer  Complimentary capsules and k-cups are provided for the Nespresso machine and Keurig coffee maker.  All cookware, bakeware, glassware, utensils, plates, bowls, serving dishes, flatware, children’s plates/bowls/utensils, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, basic spices, and paper towels are provided.

Rec Room

The basement Rec Room features a 70” Smart TV seating area complete with sound bar, subwoofer, DVD player, Comcast/Xfinity cable box, a 9ft sectional sleeper sofa, and additional futon sofabed with USB ports and charging station.  On the other side of the TV viewing area is a Foosball table and another eight person dining table perfect for playing games or doing puzzles and crafts.  Books, games, and DVD’s are provided for your enjoyment.

Spacious Patio

The backyard has a 6ft gated, privacy fence, (perfect for dogs and little ones), and the outdoor living space features a terraced patio with hot tub, gas conversation firepit, and dining pergola with gas grill and utensils, built in bar (with electric), outdoor fan, and café style lighting.  There is also an outdoor seasonal heated shower.

TWO BATHROOMS

On the main floor, the full bathroom has a jetted tub with shower, toilet, and vanity. 

Just off the kitchen, at the top of the basement stairs, is a half bath with toilet, vanity, shelving, etc.

Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided for your convenience. 

AND MORE

Wi-Fi, all essentials, all soaps, all linens, beach towels and chairs are provided.  Laundry is located in the basement and the washer is equipped with an ozonator which infuses the water with ozone and eliminates the need for bleach, detergent, fabric softener and hot or warm water.  Only cold water and ozone are needed to get items super clean and sanitized!
